Small incision facelift (s-lift)

Small incision facelift (s-lift)

What you should know about Small-Incision Facelift (S-Lift)

A Small-incision Facelift or an S-Lift is a lower facelift that is done through a small incision in front of and inside the ear, well hidden in the ear creases. In very well selected patients, this procedure is sufficient to achieve the desired result and has the advantages of a faster recovery, a shorter operative time and reduced costs.

The S-Lift can be done in the office under local anesthesia in less than 2 hours and is painless. However, many patients prefer a light sedation in which case the procedure is done in the operative room. Patients go home 30 minutes after the procedure with a bandage wrap around the face and neck that has the role of decreasing swelling and bruising. The wrap is removed the following day.

  • Practical information:

    Length of surgery: 90-120 min
