Necklift

What you should know about Necklift surgery

A necklift, as the name implies, is the type of lifting that addresses the laxity and volume imbalance in the neck area. A neck lift is rarely performed on its own but rather as part of the face and neck lift surgery. Most facelift procedures have a positive impact on the neck area in addition to the jowls and lower face. However, there are cases when the facelift is not sufficient to fully correct the neck deformities, in which case a neck lift is performed at the same setting but through a separate incision situated under the chin.

The neck lift removes the excess fat tissue that gives the double chin appearance and tightens the platisma muscle responsible for the neck bands. The procedure can be tailored to the patient’s needs and, when combined with a facelift procedure, it can dramatically rejuvenate and reshape the neck area.
